Hello everyone,
It's been a while since we've been able to give the blog a proper update. Things have been getting better and better as the fire gets further away in our rearview. It's now been about a month and a half since and we've gotten fairly settled into our new rental home. The bad news is that not one thing has been done at the old house so we may be out of there for quite some time, perhaps as long as 12 months.
Despite all the fire-related work we've had to tackle we have managed to squeeze in some fun. First with visits from Cindy and Dellos and then from Mom and Dad. Nathan had such a blast with all the attention and he can't wait to get to Ohio for his 2nd B-day and Christmas.
There are pics and vids from both visits and I apologize for how mixed up everything has gotten, no nice chronological order. We'll get that fixed going forward. One thing that will help is our new iPod Touch 4G. It is amazing how much it can do and how helpful it will be in keeping the blog updated!
We also got a new car to replace ours that was lost in the fire. We now have a Toyota Highlander which we absolutely love. No big roadtrips yet but it will certainly be up to it when the time comes.
Speaking of trips, we'll be going to Bozeman shortly to visit Gami and Papa B. Nathan knows we'll be taking a plane and he's looking forward to meeting Prince and maybe getting a chance to ride on a tractor.
Caralee has been crazy busy at work and is also doing a heck of a job with itemizing all that we lost in the fire. I have been enjoying my still relatively new role at MyPoints and have also been busy with my sketch comedy group. More on the latter later.
Nathan recently had a dr. apptmt and he is now 30" tall, weighs just over 29 lbs and is in the 90th percentile for height, 80th for weight, and 90th for head circumference. He's a real treat, bursting with personality and for the most part carries himself happily.
Enjoy the pics and vids, look for more to come, still uploading some stuff from Mom and Dad's visit. It was so great to see them right after their return from Alaska. They have inspired us to make that trip, one that I've always dreamed of. Who wants to join us?
Lots of love,
Matt, CL, and Nate Dogg (it's official after watching him bang on those drums!)
